Never Forgotten

My Dad landed at Omaha Beach in the first wave landing on D-Day. He never spoke about the war as I grew up and it wasn't until I visited the beach myself that I understood why. The enormity of what happened that day is something I cannot fathom. I honor him and every other man and woman who define the word sacrifice.

My Father had three friends who landed on Omaha Beach, (my Father was in the Navy,) they never talked about it either...when my Dad and I went to Omaha beach it literally knocked us down, we sat and cried.
Your Father has my badge of honor. A miracle he is to have survived!
